Kenneth (Ken) R. Philbrick III
Ken Philbrick is a Partner at Adam James International. Ken specializes in conducting retained search assignments for executive level finance and accounting positions including: Chief Financial Officer, Vice President of Finance, Chief Accounting Officer, Controller, Treasurer, Director or Vice President of Investor Relations and Finance Director. Ken has active relationships with over 30 private equity firms and their portfolio companies. He also works closely with Fortune 500 companies to recruit senior financial executives.
Ken joined Adam James International in 1997 shortly after the company was founded in 1996. Prior to working for Adam James International, he was an external auditor for Deloitte & Touche. He has a Master of Business Administration degree from the Daniels College of Business at The University of Denver and is the former Chair of the Daniels College of Business Alumni Board. Ken is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of Colorado. Ken serves as a member of the Board of Advisors for ACE Scholarships and Denver Young Life.
John O'Brien is a Partner at Adam James International. John focuses on C-suite and senior leadership executive search assignments across a broad spectrum of disciplines including general management, marketing, sales, operations, human resources and IT. He has led searches for Fortune 500 corporations, private companies, multi-generational family companies, institutes of higher learning and non-profit organizations.
Prior to working for Adam James, John co-founded and led an award winning retained executive search firm for over 15 years. His career prior to executive search included leadership roles with Union Carbide Corporation, First Brands Corporation, The Clorox Company and The Sherwin-Williams Company. John earned an Executive MBA from Case Western Reserve University and a BS in Business Administration from the University of Kansas.
Warren Nadolsky is a Partner at the Denver office of Adam James International. He founded the company in 1996 and has been involved in the start-up of several staffing related organizations, including practices in accounting/finance, information technology, light industrial and sales/marketing. Warren currently oversees the strategic direction of Adam James International and its sister company, Carter Mackenzie International. He also provides consulting services to start-ups and small business and serves on a number of advisory boards.
Prior to working for Adam James, Warren worked as a manager in the audit practice for Deloitte & Touche. Warren is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Colorado and has a Bachelors of Business Administration with a major in Accounting from The University of Iowa.
Ellen is a Principal for Adam James International. She is responsible for account management of retained searches overseeing search strategy and execution. Ellen has over 25 years of experience in executive recruitment, consulting, banking and entrepreneurial business ownership. She started her career in management consulting with KPMG and then Cresap. After graduate school, Ellen moved into corporate finance with Citicorp in Dallas and New York. She later became a founding partner for a private equity-backed internet company.
Ellen began her career in retained recruitment with Spencer Stuart in Dallas, where she placed executives into national operational and technical leadership roles. She later founded and operated Boade Advisors, a Denver-based retained search firm for seven years. In 2013, Ellen joined Adam James International focusing on senior level searches for global publically traded companies, private equity portfolio companies, as well as privately-held entities. She works with clients across various industries with a focus on the manufacturing, industrial, consumer goods and financial services sectors. Ellen holds a B.A. from Columbia University and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Kristen is a Principal at Adam James International, having joined the organization in 2017. She is responsible for the firm’s cross-functional, Transformational Leadership practice (the senior talent needed to grow, fix, transform or exit a business), as well as the launch of the firm’s international Diversity & Inclusion search practice.
Previously, as the Founder & President of Kenton Talent Management, a boutique executive recruiting and talent management consulting firm, Kristen enjoyed being an entrepreneur and working with middle market organizations and private equity firms nationally. Earlier in her career, Kristen opened the Colorado office as a Principal Consultant & Executive Recruiter for McDermott & Bull, one of the fastest growing retained executive search firms in the Western United States. Due to her passion and success, Kristen held multiple roles at the firm, including building and professionalizing the research and recruiting function as the Director of Recruiting.
Kristen’s passion for building diverse executive teams led to the development of the Executive Women’s Summit (www.executivewomenssummit.com). Women’s Summit Gatherings are by invitation only and designed to address three primary "spheres" in a senior executive’s life: Business, Social, and Philanthropic. Kristen enjoys being connected in her community and has been a nominee of the Denver Business Journal’s “Forty Under 40” and “Outstanding Women in Business” awards.
Sharon Richmond is a Principal at Adam James International and a national specialist in Healthcare & Wellness. She brings 15 years’ experience in talent acquisition consulting, executive recruitment, national project management, marketing and business operations. She has placed over 100 senior-level healthcare leaders throughout the country, spanning nearly all healthcare service lines. Her expertise is partnering with a client to evaluate and create an internal landscape necessary to efficiently recruit and retain top producing talent.
Previously, Sharon worked as a Vice President of Leadership Excellence at a national healthcare consulting firm. Her role was to perform a diagnostic assessment, then create and execute a customized project plan that would improve a company’s recruitment speed, leadership performance and retention. She holds a B.A. from The Ohio State University and is a certified holistic health coach.
William (Bill) D. Rowe II
Founder and Chairman & CEO of Rowe Global. Previously, served as Vice Chairman and a founding partner of Pearson Partners International. Prior to Pearson, he served as the Managing Director of the Dallas practice of Foster Partners, a global retained executive search firm formerly known as KPMG Executive Search and later spun off as an independent company. After 10 years with Foster Partners, Bill merged the Southwest practice of Foster Partners with Bob and Keith Pearson’s business in 2002 to form Pearson Partners International. Bill began his career in retained executive search as a research analyst with Paul R. Ray and Company. Earlier in his career, he provided market research and competitive analysis information to determine market vibrancy for de novo bank formations for an Atlanta-based banking services company.
Bill is on the board of directors of the business advisory firm Catapult Partners, and has served on the board of the Dallas chapter of the Young Entrepreneurs Organization. He is alumni chair and a member of the board of directors of the SMU Club Lacrosse Program, and a life member of the Dallas Safari Club. He authored a chapter titled, "A Force of Integrity within the Corporate World" in the recent book, Best Practices for Executive Search Firms: Leading Executives on Developing Benchmarks, Evaluating Potential Candidates, and Helping Clients Succeed (Aspatore Books, 2007). Bill earned a bachelor's degree in history from Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
